What I learned from Wikipedia 11/16/06

- The name of the protagonist in "I am Legend" is Robert Neville, an anagram of "Terrible Novel." He will be played by Will Smith in the 2007 adaptation.

- Sigma Phi Epsilon can claim many innovations and achievements in the world of national fraternities. SigEp was first :

* To charter a chapter in all 50 states.
* To issue a bid of membership to an African-American (future U.S. * Secretary of Commerce Ronald Brown).
* To provide financial assistance to brothers for graduate school through the Resident Scholar program.
* Establish a housing trust for all chapters and create a National Housing Corporation.
* To officially adopt a policy that removed sexual orientation as a means of discriminating against membership.
* To receive a grant from the federal Department of Education to enhance member development programs.
* Establish a traveling staff to assist chapters in effective operations.
* First national fraternity Educational Foundation to build an endowment greater than $11 million.
* To partner with the White House’s Office of National Drug Control Policy.
* In the spring of 2005 Sigma Phi Epsilon also became the first national fraternity to have a national grade point average surpassing 3.0. Nationally, the fraternity has stated that it hopes to raise this to 3.15 by 2011.
(I probably should have learned this as an undergrad)

- David Coleman "The Dating Doctor", Inspiration for the movie and title character "Hitch" was a SigEp.

It's pretty bad day when the least of your worries is the fact that you didn't wear deodorant today.

Make like a roach and Bug Off!

I pass the same guy passing out flyers four times a day. On my way into work, on my way to lunch, on my way back from lunch, and on my way home. I've worked at this job for six months.

5 days a week x 28 weeks x 4 flyers a day = 560 flyers

I don't know if my eyebrows could take that much threading.

Stays on your mind

I forgot my parents' anniversary on Friday. I'm a douche.

My dad named his sailboat "Wind Song" after my mom's perfume.
That's the sweetest thing ever.
I'm glad I'm a product of their love.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad.

I'm sorry I'm a douche.

Fortune's Fool

They say "do what you love, and the money will follow," but I still haven't won McDonalds Monopoly sweepstakes.
