Passion of the Clay

My friend Matt Shlian is an artist. He designs pop-up books and 3D art. He came up with the pre-friendster concept of the "I know Matt Shlian" pin, which I wear proudly, knowing that one day I will meet a woman who also knows Matt Shlian and the seedlings for a lifetime of wedded bliss will develop based the pin.

But anyway, he designed the box for Passion of the Christ.

He is a jew.

We really didn't have Passion plays in Hebrew School, the closer thing we had was Claymation Passover, which I believe was hosted by Judge Wapner.

And they say we control the media.

Def Cab For Cutie

This morning, a cabbie was whistling along to the Sugarhill Gang.

But here's the thing, it wasn't "Rapper's Delight" or even "Apache." In fact, I don't even know what it was...but my cab driver knew all the right times to whistle.

How did I know it was the Sugarhill Gang?
Because they said their names.

And Sugarhill is the only group I know with an MC named Hank.
