Yesterday Fox 5 News' "Operation: Gotcha!" did a report on outdated food that really hit close to home.
Especially since the last time I was home, I found a bottle of butterscotch that expired in 1994.

I grabbed some mayonnaise out of the refrigerator yesterday and slathered it onto a turkey sandwich. Then I noticed it tasted a little more "mayonnaise-y" than perhaps it ought to. The expiration date? October 2005. I probably have days to live.
